Think of us like a bank for mental health hours, where time is the currency. Quite simply, our goal is to touch as many lives as possible by providing an empathetic, confidential space to seek FREE mental health support, whenever people need it.

Are you registered?

Yes! Our registration number is 390511. The Good Wave Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, registered as Good Wave Foundation under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. As a donor, you will be provided with an 80G certificate. All donations to Good Wave Foundation are eligible for a 50% tax exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Who benefits from my donation?

We have faith that for anyone who extends a hand, there is someone who will hold it and guide them forward. At the moment, any individual within India who books a free counseling session via the Good Wave Foundation will benefit from your donation.

How will my donation be used?

Accepted Answer

Almost everything you donate will go towards helping someone speak to a mental health professional for free. A small part of it however will be used to cover costs associated with technology, talent and operations to ensure we offer a safe space to people who are looking for mental health support. If you'd like a copy of our balance sheet at the end of the year, please do not hesitate to ask. We will share the same with all donors. What can I expect after I donate to your cause?

The short answer? You can expect a life to change. 
If you choose to keep your donation anonymous, your information will be kept completely confidential at all times. On the other hand, if you choose to share your information with us, we might use it to share updates about our cause or provide early access to upcoming events that may be of interest to you.

We understand that it’s not always possible to pledge your support via a monetary donation. But that doesn’t mean you can’t make a real difference! Run a bake sale, host an event or choose to raise funds, your way. Every little bit counts. Do you accept CSR/corporate donations?

Accepted Answer

As a non-profit organization, registered under section 8 of the Companies Act, we are able to accept donations from individuals, and other Trusts or Foundations.

Can I donate to the Good Wave Foundation if I live outside India?

Accepted Answer

For the time being, we are able to accept monetary donations from within India only. But we are always looking for people to volunteer their time or open doors to a collaboration globally. If you think you fit the bill, give us a shout.

Question 11

I’m unable to donate monetarily or volunteer my time. Is there anything else I can do?

Of course! You can be an active part of this movement by spreading the word about our mission or you can share your own story too. We value you and your mental health, regardless of whether you’re willing to partner with us as a donor or a volunteer and could always use your support!
